Mini Moo’s Farm Review

My family and I have just returned from Mini Moo’s farm

My Mini Moo’s farm review will tell you whether it is worth a visit…

Where we went – Mini Moo’s farm

Who went? Me, my husband Aaron and my 2 children, Jamie and Katie.

42

We arrived at Mini Moo’s farm, which is around 10 minutes away from Chester Le Street, to a large car park surrounded by beautiful country side. There are plenty of parking spaces. As you drive in, you pass a field with donkeys, bulls and horses.

43

When we got inside, I was pleasantly surprised how much there was to do indoors!

  • You could buy animal feed for £1 a bag
  • There was a giant soft play
  • An ice rink
  • A few bouncy castles
  • Go kart’s and track
  • Basketball nets (which we loved as we are huge basketball fans)
  • Battle field

…Perfect if the weather is bad and you need to move the fun inside!

There are many animals at Mini Moo’s including…

  • Chickens
  • Geese
  • Pygmy Goats
  • Pigs
  • Rabbits
  • Reindeer
  • Turkeys
  • Donkeys
  • Miniature Horses
  • Miniture Donkeys
  • Chipmunks

There is a barn outside which is full of animals. In here you can feed the animals, pet some of the smaller animals and also watch the animal show.

35Gerard the goat, he was such a smiler.

We fed lots of the animals in the barn and Jamie and Katie both held a guinea pig.

The animal show is fab. The animal keeper tells the kids about all the animals in the barn, where they are from, their history, their likes and dislikes etc.

During the animal show, the animal keeper brought my daughter to the front and announced they have a special birthday girl in today who is 5. Everyone then proceeded to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Katie, she loved being the centre of attention haha.

Outside, the kids were able to run around on the open fields as it was a lovely day.

There is so much for them to do outside too…

  • There is a park
  • More Go Karts and a track
  • Bouncing hills (they are inflatable hill that the kids can run and bounce on, look so much fun!)
  • A full size fire engine that the kids can climb in and play in
  • Trampolines
  • Tractor and trailer rides
  • A sandpit
  • And of course, more animals – including Mini Moo himself!

We spent a lot of time outside as it was a nice day.

22

We all loved the trailer and tractor ride. It takes you around the field for a few minutes and you get a great view of the whole farm and the county side.

23

Then we moved on to the play area. I think the bouncing hills and the go kart’s were a firm favourite with Jamie and Katie.

20

There is fun facts dotted all around the farm to tell you fascinating facts about the animals.

27

In the Donkey area, there is a donkey who used to work on a range in America – It is huge! You won’t believe the size of it until you see it!

11

There is actually so much to do here that you could visit all day long and not get bored.

There are plenty of picnic tables dotted around for those who bring a picnic.

Or if you would prefer to buy your lunch while you are there, there is a lovely cafe inside Mini Moo’s and the prices are good, not over priced like some places I have visited in the past.

There is also a gift shop on the way out too and a lot of the gifts are pocket money prices, so it won’t break the bank to treat the kids on the way out.

All in all we had a really good day and I can easily say that this is the best farm we have ever visited.

The staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and you can tell they are passionate about what they do.

If you live in or are passing the North East of England, I highly recommend Mini Moo’s.

Jamie said ”I had a great day. I didn’t even go on the xbox once!”

Katie said ”It was the best birthday ever and I want a donkey” …Good luck Katie!

Mini Moo’s have an offer on right now. You can see full details of that offer here…

See some of the photos we took while we were at Mini Moo’s…
