HSBC glitch is delaying bank holiday payments!

HSBC have warned that millions of customers could be at risk of payment problems over the bank holiday meaning salaries could even be delayed.

There has been a glitch which HSBC have said they are working hard to resolve as quickly as possible.

According to The Mirror, the problem is thought to have affected payments made from HSBC accounts using the national Bacs payments system but not those from other banks.

HSBC has said in a statement: ”We are aware that some customers have not received expected credits today. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”

An FCA spokeswoman has also said: “The FCA is in contact with HSBC regarding the issue. We will be working closely with the firm as it resolves the problem and to ensure there are steps in place to help consumers who are affected”
