Hackers steal Apple account details, are you affected?
It has been described in the news as one of the biggest Apple hacks to date and it has been reported that over 225,000 users have so far been affected.
The hackers have used malware (malicious software) to steal details from affected iPhones.
If your iPhone has been affected then you may have noticed fraudulent or suspicious charges on your account where the hackers have downloaded premium apps.
The virus can also disable any kind of unlocking operations, even if you are entering the correct passcode which is something to be aware of.
It has been advised for users to keep a close eye on their app purchases and report anything suspicious to Apple.
Although Apples iOS system is much more resistant to malware than Android is, there are still malware apps out there that can take advantage of Apple’s mobile operating system and therefore we need to keep track of our purchases.
