New rules for eBay sellers coming!

If you are an eBay seller then you may want to pay attention to the new rules coming into practice next February.

As it stands, a trader can be instantly punished if a buyer opens a case against them, even if the trader is giving perfectly fine customer service.

For example if you send an item, but the customer doesn’t receive it, that is neither the seller or the buyer’s fault, but if the customer opens a case then eBay will automatically punish the seller.

From next February, sellers won’t get marked down for the cases where items have not arrived, provided you’ve managed to resolve it with the customer before eBay has to step in.

These new rules mean that your ratings will stay intact, if you’re giving decent customer service. So it looks like eBay are taking a step in the right direction.
