Christmas present mountain goes viral after mum posts photo to Instagram

Opinions are divided on the situation too…

Mum of 3, Emma, posted a photo of all the Christmas presents she has bought, on to Instagram.

The 7 foot tree is surrounded by a mountain of presents that Emma has bought for her family. She bought her children up to 85 gifts each, including 30 for her 16-month-old baby. Once she posted the photo to Instagram, it was taken without her consent and shared more than 27,000 times.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on how many presents Emma has bought, but should we really judge?

Emma has insisted she is not rich and she works hard for her money. She posted the photo for her friends only, not to brag, and someone shouldn’t really have taken the photo without her consent.

I have spoken to Emma and I was so pleased to hear that she got a lot of the presents that are around her tree from our Facebook page, Ashleigh Money Saver. Emma says she shops all year round for bargains and has paid for them all, she isn’t in Christmas debt.

"I’m not rich, I simply shop in a savvy way with vouchers and in sales. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am from a huge family and this is how we celebrate. It’s my money. I’m not on benefits so it’s how I choose to spend it. I don’t want people to judge me. I shop all year around to put a smile on their faces."

While some would say that Emma is spoiling her children, I am very pleased to hear we have helped her save so much money, no matter how many presents she has decided to buy.
