2 top energy suppliers set to cut gas prices.

There is stiff competition between ‘the big six’ energy providers at the moment as they fight to win over new customers.

British Gas have now announced that they will be cutting energy bills for all customers on their gas tariffs by 5.1% starting from 16th March.

This has sparked a price cut war and now EDF Energy have followed suit and said that it would fall 5% from 24th March.

British Gas reduced gas costs three times in 2015 with 5% falls taking place in both February and August last year.

The company says that its customer base of 6.8 million households would benefit from the latest move saving on average £31.
