Every parent should see these sippy cup images.

If you have young children then you’ll definitely be interested to read this shocking revelation about sippy cups.

I was shocked to see these images circulating the internet and thought it was important to share with you all.

A furious Dad was the first to warn people of the mould hidden in the inside of sippy cups and is urging other parents to check the anti-leak feature on similar cups you may own for your own children.

Since then other parents have shared similar experiences after checking their own children’s products.

Simon O’kanada apparently thought to check the cup after his son kept on getting ill. To his disgust he found mould growing inside the cup where he wasn’t able to reach with soapy water.

Simon has since been flooded with other images from parents finding large amounts of mould growing near to where the children are drinking from.

The mould seems to be growing in a place where parents can’t see unless they physically split open the mouth piece.

Simon’s post has been shared over 50,000 times. This has forced Tommee Tippee, amongst other brands to apologise for the issue and are now ‘actively working’ on a way to resolve it.

Tommee Tippee have also posted this diagram to help parents understand how to properly clean the sippy cups.

Tommee Tippee have said: ‘Difficulties have arisen though when liquids that are not recommended for use in the cups have been used, like thick formula milk, pulpy juice and warm liquids.’

‘We also recommend that cups are not left for long periods before being cleaned.’
