How to use WhatsApp’s 5 new features!
WhatsApp has been through a major update, and I can honestly say jusdging by these five new features, the messaging app is now better than ever. If you have an iPhone, then you can update it over on the app store now. Android users don’t worry, all of these new features are also availableon Google’s platform
Enhanced photo sharing
You can now share photos on WhatsApp from other apps such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive by opening up the ‘Photo/Video Library’ whilst on the app. All you have to do is tap ‘choose from another app’.
This just made phot sharing with our friends even simpler!
We can now send and receive documents
We will now be able to send and receive PDF’s from within the app. PDF’s can be selected from other apps installed on your phone, like iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive.
Fixed storage issues
According to WhatsApp the company has “fixed some crashes and an issue that was using a lot of storage space on some iPhones” by reducing the amount of space the app requires to function. There’s nothing worse than going to take a picture only to find that there ‘isn’t enough storage’.
Zoom in on videos
We’ve always been able to zoom in on pictures, but when it came to videos we’ve been restricted. Until now. We can now zoom in on videos just by using our two fingers.
New selection of chat backgrounds
We can now finally change the standard background with images of our own choice.
WhatsApp now offers a variety of block colours to choose from, but users can also choose their own one from their photo library, just go to the app’s settings menu to reset it.
