Frozen 2 is on the way, could Elsa get a girlfriend?

A report by GLAAD shows that Disney had included no lesbian, gay, or bisexual character in its 2015 films.

Now feminist campaigners have started a hashtag on Twitter #GiveElsaAGirlfriend in the hope that Frozen 2 will see Elsa have a girlfriend rather than a boyfriend.

Idina Menzel who plays the voice of Elsa in Frozen thinks this is a great idea saying ”I hope Disney makes Elsa a lesbian princess imagine how iconic that would be.”

There is a lot of support for Elsas love life over on Twitter but my favourite tweet simply read ”#GiveElsaAGirlfriend because everyone deserves a happily ever after”

However not everyone agrees and one tweet read ”#GiveElsaAGirlfriend is a horrible idea and ultimately, an indication of the bad direction our society has taken.”

Personally I think it is a great idea and could be a great move by Disney. I have brought my children up to believe it is normal for anyone to love anyone they wish, regardless of their gender, but you don’t see it very often on childrens TV shows.
