Yours Clothing Review

Being ‘plus size’ it can be hard work finding trendy clothes that fit well. There are very few shops out there that actually do affordable clothing for us curvy women that look good.
A few year ago I fell into the habit of simply buying plain black trousers and a black tee because I couldn’t find any decent plus size stores on the high street, the ones that were there were out of my price range.

Just over a year ago I heard about ‘Your’s Clothing‘ and their slogan was ”Discover fabulous plus size clothing at Yours Clothing in sizes 14-36.” So I decided to give them a try.

I went on their website and the bright colours jumped out at me.! Finally, plus sized clothing that wasn’t black! I looked for my nearest store and was very pleased to see there was a store at intu Metro Centre, Gateshead which is around 30 minutes away from me – I headed there that weekend and I was totally spoilt for choice.

The store was bursting with trendy clothes in every colour you could think of and it soon became my favourite clothing store. I have introduced friends, my Mam and Mother-in-law to the store and they also love shopping there now too.

One thing that always stands out for me is the customer service. I have been to Yours Clothing in Gateshead, Washington and Birmingham and the customer service has always been fantastic. The staff are so helpful, friendly and they will stand and talk to you and have a laugh. I visit the Gateshead branch that often that the staff always say hello when they see me, they always look as though they love their jobs which is nice to see.

I have picked out a few outfits to show you guys just how nice their clothing is…

Outfit 1

Outfit 2

 I LOVE jeggings. They look great and are so comfortable. However the only problem I seem to have with these is the length. I am very short and even the short legged jeans in Yours Clothing are too long for me and seem to collect around my legs, I think an ‘extra short leg’ would be very handy!

 I love this top. It comes with a fitted cardigan and it is very slimming! The pattern and detail on the front of the top is lovely. My favourite thing about it is the length, because I have what I call a ‘pouch’ which is basically my mammy tummy, this top is long enough to cover it so I’m not constantly pulling my top down and feeling self conscious.

 Another selfie! This shows how the top is fitted across your arms but is loose where it needs to be. I can’t recommend this top enough –  10/10 for comfort and style.

Outfit 3

 First off, let me apologise for my pasty legs! I very rarely wear a dress, I was thinking about applying some fake tan but I have had far too many streaky disasters. My favourite beauty salon was fully booked so I couldn’t get a spray tan in time either so I just went for it…

 I love the pattern and colour of this dress. Plus size fashion doesn’t have to be black and this gorgeous dress proves it. This dress is so comfortable and it is quite flared from the waist down so you can hide a magnitude of sins under there and no one would notice! Team this dress with some heels or wedges and it would look great for a day/night out. I wore mine to a BBQ and I got lots of compliments on it.

 I love the cut out shoulders which gives it another reason to stand out.

Yours Clothing also do a great range of EEE shoes – these are shoes which are wider than your average show, perfect for anyone who suffers from sore feet because their shoes nip or rub.
