Do You Want To Catch ‘Em All? Well This May Help…

Since its release in early July, Pokémon GO has become the biggest mobile game ever, with over 500 million downloads. However, the game has caused some real world problems. From players being distracted by the game people have done things from walking into ponds to falling off cliffs.

This device, however, could solve many of the games distraction issues we face when trying to catch ’em all.

Being released on September 16th is the Pokémon GO Plus. This is an electronic wristband that will notify you when you are near Pokémon. This means that you can still play the game without looking at your phone and be aware of your surroundings too.

The wristband is compatible with ISO and Android. To see what OS versions and what phones are required to use the wristband, visit the Nintendo store.

The band works with your phone via Bluetooth low energy to notify you when there is a Pokemon or PokéStop near you. If there is a Pokémon near you the device will vibrate and flash green. If you are close enough to the Pokémon you can press the button on the device to throw a Pokéball at it to try and catch it. If you catch the Pokémon the wristband will flash and vibrate. It will also flash blue and vibrate when you are close to a Pokéstop to help you collect rewards.

The band will still work even if the app is running in the background of your phone.

The wristband costs £34.99 and can be pre-ordered now from the Nintendo store. An order over £20 on the Nintendo store website will get you free delivery. The band is one per customer.
