Fuerteventura
My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Fuerteventura and it was amazing, I can’t wait to go back.
It offers pretty much year round sun and the best beaches in the canaries, be warned, though, the sand gets VERY hot underfoot so you can’t walk barefoot on the beach, pack your flip flops!
Fuerteventura means ‘strong winds’ and the breeze coming off the sea is gorgeous because it does help to cool you down a little, which you will need, believe me!
We stayed in ClubHotel RIU Oliva Beach Resort in Corralejo and were on the beach, a 10-minute taxi ride to the main town and water park. The image above is the actual beach you have direct access to from this hotel – stunning!
Lanzarote
I have had my eye on this hotel, Be Live Experience, in Lanzarote for the last couple of year. I first looked at it after it was reopened after refurbishment and it looks great.
It is modern, clean, has everything you could want on-site and right on the beach! You’re only 2 minutes walk away from the local weekly craft market too.
Some of the larger beaches in Lanzarote have kids activity parks and there is a large waterpark on the island.
It is rated 4/5 on Trip Advisor so you know you’re going to a decent hotel.
Menorca
Could you imagine calling this home for a week?! The kids would love to wake up to that pool every morning and you and your partner could take turns at relaxing around the pool.
These modern, family-friendly apartments at Mestral and Llebeig are perfect for a family break as you’re just a few minutes away from a white sandy beach. There is 2 outdoor pools as well as the children’s splash pool, there is also a kids club on site to keep your little angels busy.
Oh, we can’t forget the zoo nearby too!
Zante
If you’re after somewhere with more happening on your resort then why not try Planos Bay and Aqua Bay in Zante? They have a waterpark on site with everything from a water play area for young children to chutes and slides for daredevils!
Both hotels have their own restaurants, bars and pools as well as being only a 10-minute walk away from the nearest beach.
The hotel looks so up-to-date and modern, my guess is it has recently had a gorgeous refurbishment.
If you’re looking for an action packed holiday then this could definitely be the one for you.
Tenerife

I have heard so many good reviews about Compostela Beach Golf Apartments and Siam Park, has anyone else been? What do you think?
When you stay here, you get free entry to one of the world’s top water parks, that is enough in itself to convince you to go here!
Compostela Beach Apartments were built from the pool outwards so you are right on top of the attraction as well as a gold course being on-site. There is no way you’ll get bored when staying here, there is simply too much to do!
