Today we’ve been in the studio with our lovely Ashleigh, where Megan and Kate have been channeling their inner Gok Wan, to compete in a style challenge to makeover Ashleigh for her Christmas party! But who was crowned the champion? Featuring Simply Be.
Megan’s Look
For her outfit, Megan decided to go for a classic little black shift dress, classically known for being perfect for any occasion! She chose this gorgeous Loverdrobe one, featuring a mesh neckline with embroidered, sequin, star detail in gold and silver, to add a little festive sparkle to the look. The split sleeves gave the look an added floaty, Seventies silhouette, perfect for dancing!
She then paired Ashleigh’s look with a matching cosmic, star sign box bag to pick out the delicate sparkle in the dress. On her feet, Ashleigh wore a pair of pretty, metallic, silver block heeled shoes, to keep her feet feeling comfortable and looking fabulous all night long! This outfit is perfect for if you want to look Christmassy without being over the top.
Megan said, “I love the look of clashing metals and the star embroidery really caught my eye, I thought the dress was mega flattering on Ashleigh’s shape, and loved how the outfit came together.”
Ashleigh said, “I’ve never ever worn pointy shoes before, but I absolutely love them, and how gorgeous is the little clutch? I absolutely love it!”

Kate’s Look
Kate wanted to go all out festive sparkle with her look and opted for a two piece consisting of a top and pencil skirt. This look is a bit more vintage glamour with its fitted, glitzy skirt reminiscent of the 1920s, as we all know the flappers were known for their amazing partywear! She then matched the eye-catching skirt with a boxy black top, featuring feather hem sleeves, making the skirt the star of the show.
Kate paired her outfit with a pair of luxurious, round toe, ankle strap heels in a jewel blue tone, adding a pop of colour to the outfit. She then added a holographic, silver bag with chain, perfect for dancing!
This outfit is great for if you’re going to multiple parties as you can mix and match your look according to different occasions, no matter how casual or dressy.
Kate said, “I love the retro glamour vibe to this outfit and the mix in texture of the sequins, feather trim, and velvet, which scream Christmas! I also love the fact that if you’re attending multiple parties like Ashleigh is, you can mix and match the skirt and top too.”
Ashleigh said, “How good is that bag, the sparkle will look amazing when you’re dancing with that, it’s amazing! I never ever go for cropped tops because of my tummy, but with this skirt with it, I don’t feel like you can tell with all of the detail.”

Ashleigh, in the end, decided on a hybrid of the two looks, and planned to pair Kate’s sparkly outfit with Megan’s gorgeous silver shoes, and loved the bags so much, she wanted to wear them both for separate occasions!
