Wine Atlas Feteasca Regala has won the Gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards!
At £5.25 a bottle, this Romanian wine is described as having ‘a modern vibe’ with ‘soft, tropical fruit flavours seasoned with a sassy crispness.’
An Asda spokesperson said: ‘We pride ourselves on developing not only great quality, but great value wines, and are delighted to have been awarded gold for our Feteasca Regala.’
Scoring a 95/100, the plucky little supermarket wine beat out 17000 other wines to claim the top prize.
I don’t know about fancy wines but if the experts think it’s one of the best in the world, for £5.25 I’ll be giving it a go this weekend!
