Everyone loves McDonald’s Monopoly, and it’s back and better than ever for 2020!

Launching on March 25th, McDonald’s have given us a sneak peek of their best prize yet.

This is set to be the 15th year of the fun Monopoly board game, and we’re sure everyone is going to want to get their mitts on one prize in particular.

The must have prize of McDonald’s Monopoly 2020 is the VIP Gold Card. What’s the VIP Gold Card, you ask? Basically – free unlimited McDonald’s for one entire calendar year. Yep, sounds good to us!

Although we’re not sure what the rest of the prizes will be yet, this is definitely the top of our wish list. When McDonald’s Monopoly begins on March 25th there will be 1000 VIP Gold Cards up for grabs – even celebs can’t request them, they must be found! It all sounds very Willy Wonka, are we right?

A spokesperson for McDonald’s said: “The only way you can get your hands on a McDonald’s Gold Card is to play! If Stormzy or Ed Sheeran want to get one, they’ll have to play Monopoly”.

The lucky 1000 people who manage to win a VIP Gold Card will be able to use their card 24/7 in any McDonald’s restaurant across the UK. Imagine unlimited McNuggets, Big Macs, McFlurrys, the whole works… yum.

How does McDonald’s Monopoly work?

Every year the famous fast food chain launch their Monopoly competition across the UK during springtime. On selected items of food from the menu you will find stickers with the names of properties/buildings that you tend to see on classic Monopoly board games. If you manage to find a full street worth of stickers, you’ll win a prize! You may also be lucky enough to find some Instant Win stickers, which (as the name suggests) give you instant prizes. The Instant Win stickers usually give you access to a free snack or meal from McDonalds.
