Next Mirrors Product Recall!

Next are having to recall some of their mirrors due to a safety hazard.

There is a problem with the adhesion of the glass making it possible for the glass to fall away from the backing. For this reason Next is giving affected customers a full refund.

Items affected:

447703 – Large Bevel Mirror (only items purchased before July 2009) 447727 – Small Bevel Mirror (only items purchased before July 2009)

The announcement on the Trading Standards website states:

‘Next wants to make customers aware of a safety issue relating to the adhesion of the glass on a small number of the above mirrors, which could result in the glass falling from the backing. We would therefore ask you to check the item number on the reverse of your mirror, which is located on the small barcode label. It is the reference number below the centre of the barcode, highlighted in the image above.

If the label on your mirror matches any of the above item numbers and you purchased it before May 2009, please do not re-hang the mirror and call us on 0333 777 8128 to arrange a collection from your home address for a full refund.’
