Add this 9-year-old to your Xmas card list and make his year!

I read this story in The Sun yesterday and it really melted my heart. I know so many of you will be willing to help make his Christmas extra special with the smallest gesture so I thought why not spread the word?

9-year-old Layton Robinson-Bancroft suffers from a terminal illness, mitochondrial disease and his parents have been told he may not have long left as he is deteriorating so quickly.

His Mother told The Sun that she hadn’t had time to even think about Christmas this year as she’d been faced with a new challenge each day. Therefore, she is asking for only one small thing from the kind members of the general public.

In an effort to make what could be his last Festive season special, mum Stacey has urged kind-hearted strangers to send him cards wishing him a merry Christmas.

Layton loves opening post and so far opening letters and cards from all over the world has put ahuge smile on his face.

Stacey’s friend set up an appeal on Facebook and it has reached thousands of people, as far as Canada and New Zealand and more than 500 letters have poured in from across the globe.
