The Cheap Sunscreens Proven To Be BETTER Than Big Name Brands

You don’t have to splash your cash to buy excellent sunscreens this summer!

These sunscreens are a fraction of the price of the big name brands, and widely available in supermarkets.

An NHS study has shown that cheaper sunscreens are actually better performing than big name brands. Sunscreens from Morrisons, Boots, and Asda own brands had higher sun protection than products from Ambre Solaire and Nivea.

Morrisons’ SPF 50 kids sunscreen has a UVA rating of 5 stars, whereas Garnier’s Ambre Solaire sunscreen is double the price, with only a 3 star UVA rating.

Other own-brand sunscreens have also been proven to be more effective than their big-name brand counterparts.

The Boots Soltan sunscreen has an excellent 5 star UVA rating. In comparison, Nivea’s Protect and Moisture SPF 50 has only 4 stars, and is more expensive.

The NHS recommend that people should use sunscreens with at least SPF 15, and a UVA rating of 4 out of 5.

A Channel 5 documentary also proved that sunscreens from stores like Aldi and Lidl are just as good as expensive brands such as Hawaiian Tropic.

So, it just goes to show, when it comes to sunscreen you’re not always paying for protection!
