Apple has finally revealed that its expensive iPhones are expected to keep on working for just three years.

Apple made its confession as part of a new drive to show off its green credentials.

It also discussed the lifespan of the Apple Watch, Macbooks and Apple TV devices.

On a new ‘environment’ section of its website.”Years of use, which are based on first owners, are assumed to be four years for OS X and tvOS devices and three years for iOS and watchOS devices,”

To me, 3 year is a worryingly short space of time. We spend a lot of money on these smart phones – we never had this problem with our Nokia 3310’s
