How to beat the Sky TV price hike…

Millions of Sky TV customers will be facing a price rise in June and some customers will be hit with a whopping £72 extra on their yearly bill!

The price hike comes into force on 1 June 2016 and Sky are starting to contact customers now to inform them of the changes.

The price rise depends on what package you currently have with Sky, however, customers who pay extra for HD movies may see their bills decrease because this is now part of the standard Movies package.

Sky say the average price rise will be less than £3 a month.

If you want to avoid the price hike then there a couple of things you can try…

  • Call Sky directly and tell them you are struggling to pay your bill as it is and you can’t afford the price rise. They may be able to offer you a better deal – usually this signs you into another 12 month contract.
  • If you are out of your contract then you are free to leave Sky and can go elsewhere for your services. However, when you call Sky to tell them you are leaving, they will offer you an amazing offer to stay.

Will this affect you or do you have the HD package?
