How to bold, italicise and strike through text on WhatsApp!
Are any of you as obsessed with WhatsApp as I am these days? If so then you’ll be over the moon to hear about yet ANOTHER cool new feature that they’ve just introduced.
We now have the option to type in bold, italics and strikethrough in our messages. It’s not the most obvious new feature and is a bit of a hidden gem but let me tell you how it works.
** This only works on the latest version of WhatsApp so make sure you check to see if yours needs updated!
• Bold: Add an asterisk (*) before and after the specific words or phrases you want to embolden e.g. *hello*
• Italics: Add an underscore (_) before and after your chosen words or phrases e.g. _hello_
• Strikethrough: Add a tilde (~) before and after the words or phrases you want to strike a line through e.g. ~hello~
So your messages should look something like this ………
