Brand new theme park coming to the UK

It is being dubbed ‘Disneyland’ of the UK

Britain is set to become home to a brand new theme park which is expected to cost around £2 million to build.

The theme park will be called ‘Paramount London’ and will be built on the Swanscombe Peninsula in Kent.

Its attractions will be based on blockbuster movies owned by Paramount Pictures – including The Godfather, Titanic and Mission Impossible.

The theme park is expected to be ready by 2021 and it is hoped it will create 27,000 jobs and attract over 50,000 tourists a day.

A spokesman for London Resort Company Holdings, which is behind the project, said: “This is going to have a hugely significant impact on the economy.

“We will dovetail into a lot of the other attractions in the area. It will be a game-changer for much of Kent.”

Work is expected to start on site in 2018.

The theme park will feature Europe’s largest indoor water park as well as a new country park, a theatre with “West End quality shows”, an art-house cinema and nightclubs.
