British Gas Have Cut Gas Prices By 5%!

Leading gas firm British Gas have slashed their prices for the second time in 6 months this time by 5%!

It has just been announced that annual energy bills will be cut by an annual average of £35!

This price cut will take effect on customers from 27th August and will benefit 6.9 million British Gas customers on standard and Fix and Fall tariffs.

British Gas said the cut “reflects our lower projected total costs for 2015 and 2016“.

British Gas announced a price cut of 5% in January following moves by a number of the other “Big Six” energy suppliers.

The big six energy companies have all come under pressure from politicians and regulators in the past year to pass savings on to customers.
