Brits holiday plans ruined as travel firm goes bust.

Horrible news for many British holiday makers as a popular British Ibiza- based travel firm has gone bust at the busiest time of the year.

The rentals association ‘International Villas’ which has around 50 luxury lets has confirmed that it has ceased trading and is currently working on a rescue package.

The company Facebook and website were today shut down but not before this statement was made: ‘It is with great sadness due to unforeseen circumstances, the company has now ceased to trade and the directors have instructed Sharma & Co to assist with a view to placing the company into creditors’ voluntary liquidation.’

International Villas is based in the Essex market town of Saffron Walden and it is thought that all people whose holidays will be affected are British.

Roberto San Esteban – president of an Ibiza-based holiday lets’ association called AVAT which represents more than half a dozen companies told the Daily Star: “My understanding is five rentals groups including three which were British contacted members to try to find a solution after finding they had nowhere to stay when they arrived on Saturday for what they thought was going to be a dream holiday. It’s the height of the tourist season and solutions as far as I know were only found in two of the cases.”

This is terrible news for holiday makers and I will post any updates as I hear of them.
