Register now, it could save a child’s life…
After the terrible story in the news lately about the 2 year old girl who was kidnapped from a Primark store by 2 teenagers, I wondered if there ware any alert systems in place for finding missing children.
It is a parents worst nightmare to think of their child being abducted or going missing, I hope none of us ever have to find out exactly how it feels.
After doing some research, I came across this website and I can’t believe I haven’t heard of it before.
‘Child Rescue Alert’ is backed by Royal Mail and Stephen Fry.
A Child Rescue Alert is activated when a child is known to have been abducted or their life is believed to be at immediate risk.
Their website states ”We will send Child Rescue Alerts to you by text and email if you are registered in the relevant area. We only expect about 4 to 6 Child Rescue Alerts to be issued each year and not all of these will be nationwide.
We will also send an occasional message to thank you for remaining registered to receive Child Rescue Alerts. There will be no other messages.”
The texts are free to receive and your details are not sold on to any other companies.
