Childcare changes announced in Autumn statement!

The scrapping of the tax credit cuts wasn’t the only good news to be announced in the Autumn statement today by George Osbourne.

It has been announced that from 2017, there will be 30 hours of free childcare for three and four-year-olds. 

This free childcare scheme will be offered to parents who work more than 16 hours a week and with incomes of less than £100,000.

Many parents are already entitled to a free 15 hours of childcare for three and four-year-olds but the government had previously stated they would be giving further support towards childcare costs.
