If your kids are big fans of the books Knuffle Bunny, I Will Take A Nap, or Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus, they’ll LOVE this Youtube art class!

Best-selling author and illustrator, Mo Willems, is helping your kids to stay creative in their time off school by launching an art class called Lunch Doodles.

The author will be teaching your kids how to draw every week day, giving your little ones something to look forward to, and keeping them occupied for a little while.

The sessions which last around 20-30 minutes will be live streamed at 1pm EST and will be shared on the Kennedy Centre’s Youtube channel and website.

In his first video announcing the class, Willems said: “I know a lot of you guys are not in school. You’re at home right now because of all the things that are going on. Well, guess what? I’m at home, too. We’re gonna hang out together.”

If your kids have any questions for the illustrator, they are encouraged to ask him questions at LUNCHDOODLES@kennedy-center.org, and Willems will try to answer them in his videos.

A couple of episodes have already aired, so if your kids are itching to get arty, they can start now!

You can also follow Mo Willems on Twitter, where he will keep parents updated on any technical difficulties or time changes so your little ones don’t miss out.

It turns out home schooling can be rather difficult, so thanks to Mo Willems for helping us to keep our kids’ minds active and entertained.
