Chocolate Santa’s recalled at Co-op stores nationwide

You may have friends or family who have bought these chocolate Santa’s for their children so it is vital we spread the word.

Giant grocery chain The Co-op have recalled their chocolate Santa’s over a tampering fear.

There have been two alleged tampering attempts with the chocolate Santa’s – both were found to contain small button cell battery.

“The health and safety of our customers is our top priority,” said the spokesperson, adding that the Co-op was investigating and the police and Food Standards Agency were being notified.

There are no other products thought to have been affected.

The tampering incidents happened in two separate locations, Suffolk and Essex.

The Co-op said customers with one of these products should not eat it, but call the company’s customer relations team for a full refund.
