Christmas & New Year opening hours for supermarkets!

I know you may not be able to think of anything worse than hitting the supermarkets over the Christmas and New Year period, however sometimes it can’t be helped and we may need to brave it.

For that reason, you might want to familiarise yourself with the opening hours first to avoid driving all the way there, only to find It’s shut!

Asda

• Christmas Eve – All stores open at normal time. Some stores will be closing earlier, at 8pm.
• Christmas Day – All stores are closed.
• Boxing Day – All stores open. Most open from 9am to 6pm
• New Year’s Eve – All stores open. Majority closing at 8pm.
• New Year’s Day and 2nd January – All stores open, most open from 10am to 5pm.

Morrisons

• Christmas Eve – All stores open, most from 6am to 6pm.
• Christmas Day – All stores are closed.
• Boxing Day – All stores open, from 9am to 5pm
• New Year’s Eve – All stores open. England and wales stores open from 9am to 7pm. Scottish stores close at 6pm.
• New Year’s Day – All stores normal Sunday hours
• 2nd January – All stores open from 9am – 6pm

Tesco

• Christmas Eve – All stores open. Superstores, Extras and Metro stores will close at 7pm. Tesco Express stores will close at 10pm.
• Christmas Day – All stores are closed.
• Boxing Day – Most stores open, from 9am to 6pm. Tesco Express open from 8am – 10pm.
• New Year’s Eve – All stores open. Superstores, Extras and Metro stores will close at 7pm. Tesco Express stores will close at 10pm.
• New Year’s Day – All stores normal Sunday hours, with Scottish Tesco Express open from 11am, Metro and Express stores open from 10am- 6pm.
• 2nd January – All stores open from 9am – 6pm. Express stores open normal hours.

• Christmas Eve – 7am- 6pm for most stores.
• Christmas Day – All stores are closed.
• Boxing Day – All stores open. Operating from 11am to 5pm.
• New Year’s Eve – All stores open, from normal time and close at 6pm.
• New Year’s Day – All stores closed.
• 2nd January – All stores open usual hours.

• New Year’s Eve – All store, 8am – 6pm.

• Christmas Eve – All store open from usual time, with many closing early.
• Christmas Day – All stores are closed.
• Boxing Day – All stores open, working 9am – 6pm, with few exceptions.
• New Year’s Eve – All store open, opening as usual, closing earlier at 7pm. With a few exceptions.
• New Year’s Day – All stores closed.
• 2nd January – All stores open bank holiday hours.
