Sir David Attenborough is set to become the UK’s honorary geography teacher, with the new BBC Bitesize Daily education programme.

Sir David Attenborough is the latest well known addition to the BBC Bitesize Daily line up.

Bitesize Daily has been called the BBC’s “biggest ever education offer”, trying to fill the gap left by the school closures due to the coronavirus lockdown. With three new lessons every single day, the BBC is helping to keep kids occupied during this strange time. Including a range of videos and activities across a range of subjects, this new educational resource from the BBC is totally free!

Attenborough will be teaching children about many different geography topics. From lessons about the oceans, to maps, to understanding animals, this will be as interesting for parents as it will be kids!

Bitesize Daily launched today, and will provide 14 weeks of curriculum based learning for children throughout the country. This is sure to be a helping hands to parents who are struggling with balancing home schooling.

  • Professor Brian Cox is teaching key science topics like the solar system, force, and gravity.
  • Manchester City footballer Sergio Aguero is teaching kids how to count in Spanish.
  • Danny Dyer will be teaching key stage 1 children about Henry VIII.
  • Jodie Whittaker from Doctor Who, Liam Payne, and Obi Mabuse are also helping out!

BBC Bitesize Daily is bringing daily learning to the iPlayer, Red Button, BBC Sounds, and the Bitesize website and app.
