Final posting dates for Christmas

It’s always best to send off any cards and presents as soon as possible to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas, however, if you are a last minute kinda’ person or worried the strike will affect the delivery time, then this information should help you…

Leaving posting Christmas presents until the last moment can prove costly as you end up having to invest in express delivery. Therefore, I would suggest getting everything sent off within the next few days.

Even though, the Post Office workers strike will be taking place from Monday 19th December until the 26th December, Boxing day, there will be little impact on the postage dates, the Post Office say. The dates provided below are the dates the post office can meet as the strike is only going to include 3% of the 11,600 branches in the UK. Therefore, there will be a lot of people working tirelessly to deliver your letters and packages in time for the 25th.

So, the following are the dates that Royal Mail recommend getting everything posted for the delivery to UK inland;

For second class mail: Tuesday 20th December 2016

For first class mail: Wednesday 21st December 2016

For special delivery items: Thursday 22nd December 2016

For special delivery Saturday guaranteed: Friday 23rd December 2016
