Half term’s coming up! I know the majority of us won’t be booking up to take the kids somewhere exotic with the holiday prices soaring so high in the school holidays. But don’t worry, I have plenty of money saving ideas to keep the kids entertained this half term without having to break the bank. I hope this post gives you some ideas of things to do with the kids on a budget.

 

Make use of the Odeon Kids promotion

Participating Odeon cinemas offer a kids promotion every weekend where you can pay just £2.50 to see children’s films. You can check screenings here. 

Find out where kids can eat free

Eating out can be an expensive, but lots of places often offer kids eat free deals so It’s best you do some investigating. Alternatively, you can pick up a Kids Pass for just £1 for 90 days. This will entitle you to kids eat free at thousands of restaurants. Not to mention up to 57% off thousands of days out. You can get your Kids Pass here.

Visit a FREE national trust event

Get your family out into the great outdoors and visit a FREE National Trust event. There is free trails, storytelling and bulb planting activities organised across the country. You can see the list of events here.

Have fun at home

Staying in doesn’t always have to be boring. Why not make time for a games night with the kids and get the board games out? Alternatively you could make your own play dough, It’s cheap to make and the kids will be sure to get hours of fun out of it.
