High-street bakery Greggs sent pasty lovers into a frenzy this morning when they posted a picture of a full English breakfast bake on Twitter.

The savoury breakfast treat appeared to look like the classic sausage and bean melt, but with an added piece of bacon and a delicious fried egg.

Jam-packed with traditional English breakfast faves, just this glimpse of the pasty sent fans wild on social media.

Unfortunately, Greggs later clarified that the full English breakfast bake isn’t on sale, and is instead a ‘hack’, made from adding bacon and egg to their sausage and bean melt pasty.

However, the bakery stated that if the idea is popular enough, they may introduce full English breakfast bakes in the future.
