Hampton By Hilton Launch Party

I went to the Hampton by Hilton launch party last night…

What a fantastic night it was!

This hotel has just recently opened in Newcastle and last night was finally their opening party… I am so pleased I received an invite, I had such a great time!

Hampton by Hilton is perfectly placed in Newcastle, it is pretty much opposite the train station. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to the best of Newcastle’s night life and town centre for the best shopping experience.

One of my favourite things about this hotel is that when you book a stay with them, included in your stay you get free wifi, breakfast and use of the gym/fitness centre… More often than not you have to pay extra for these perks!

So, just like I did last time I was invited to a launch party, I left the husband at home with the kids and I took my Mam.

When we arrived we were greeted by some very glamourise looking women with blue hair handing us a glass of prosecco… We weren’t complaining! We made our way upstairs to the second floor to the party and it was a buzz of activity from the moment the lift doors opened.

I was surprised to see a magician at the event, I would only associate a magician with a child’s party but I hold my hands up now and admit I very wrong! He was hilarious and got everyone laughing.

There was characters from Faulty Towers walking around, so I’m told anyway, I haven’t seen it but my Mam thought they were great and very realistic. Even the queen made an appearance.. Not the real queen though, she is still getting quotes from the Yellow Pages for her decorating bill…

Then it was time to play games, hosted by Mark Jenkins from Channel 4’s The Hotel. We were all giving a raffle ticket and if our number was called out we had to go and play a game of ‘Play Your Cards Right’… Well my raffle number was called out so off I went to try and win myself £50… The card was a 9 and I shouted ‘lower’ but unfortunately my next card was a queen so I lost within seconds haha.

I love events like these as it is a great way to meet new people and I met some fantastic people last night, including a travel agent, Amanda, in a lift who told me she followed my page!

It was such a fantastic night with friends new and old and I can’t wait for the next one!

See below for my photos from the night including photos of one of the rooms…
