How Much Are Your Pokémon Cards Worth Now?

If you, like me, grew up in the 90’s/ early 2000’s then the chances are you spent a lot of your pocket money on packets of Pokémon cards! They were a massive school yard craze back in the day and I know the word on the street was that they’d be one-day worth a fortune so after seeing a Post on the Lad Bible earlier, I decided to do some research!

Here are the top 5 rarest and most expensive Pokémon cards, so if you have any of these tucked away in your cupboards, you might want to dig them out!

5.  Pokémon Gold Star Cards

Thesed were the first of many shiny Pokemon cards! The graded Gold Stars can be sold for as much as $150 (£95).

3. Southern Islands Card Set

For this set to be valuable, it has to be an original. There weren’t very many made making them hard to get hold of, but if you happen to have one, they can sell for as much as $300 per card (almost £200)!

Now this was the big one back in the day! Everyone wanted a shiney Charizard! I was never lucky enough to find one myself but for those of you who did, could now be set to make a killing! As long as yours is the first edition and graded 9 or higher in mint condition, it could sell for as much as $700! (£450)
