How To Get Free Access To Paid For Apps

Want to know how to get free access to paid for apps?

This works on Android & Amazon devices only, not available to Apple devices.

The app is called ‘Amazon Underground‘ and it should come pre-loaded onto Amazon devices, if not, it is easy to download.

My son introduced me to this app. It was preloaded onto his Amazon Fire tablet and I was a little skeptical so I decided to do some research on it. You can’t download the Amazon Underground app on Google Playstore, you will need to visit Amazon directly here where you can download the app onto your chosen device.

Amazon used to do a ‘free app of the day’ offer and it was good but not hugely popular. They have decided to replace that with Amazon Underground.

Some of the features of the underground app are

  • You can get access to millions of free items such as games, TV shows, songs, books, audiobooks etc
  • Even in-app purchases are free!
  • Unlimited lives and levels on games
  • Stream Amazon Instant Video movies and TV episodes via the Amazon Instant Video player

Instead of the user paying for the app, or the app being riddled with advertisements, Amazon will pay commission to developers based on the amount of time users spend on the apps.

Amazon say “To be clear, we’re the ones picking up those per-minute charges so for you it’s simply free.”

I tried using my sons app and the amount of games you can download for free are unreal! I decided I wanted to download the app on my phone but because I have an Android device, I had to momentarily change my security settings to allow me to download this as it isn’t being download directly from Google Play Store.

This is well worth having if you allow children to play games on devices as this stops them from running up huge in-app purchase bills. It is a little sneaky but 100% legal.

Important note regarding permissions. This app requires access to the following services to operate properly:

Read Contacts: This permission is used to so that you can access your phone contacts for the purposes of sending Amazon gift cards.

Receive SMS and Uninstall Shortcuts: These permissions will be used to simplify the process of phone number verification for exciting upcoming app features.

Phone calls: within the app you are able to place a call to Amazon Customer Service. Tap Menu -> More -> Help -> Call Customer Service, and we will place the proper number in the phone app and dial it.

Take pictures: bar code scanning and image search require access to the camera function if you choose to start the bar code scanner from the app.
