In a Which? poll, Iceland scored 77 out of 100, with top marks for value, offers and delivery times. This is the first time Iceland has won.

Online stores were judged by shoppers across ten areas from ease of navigating the website and substitutions to their order to quality of own labels and helpful delivery drivers.

Alex Neill, Which? director of campaigns said: “While value for money remains a high priority, people want special offers to genuinely be special and they want a pleasant in-store shopping experience.

“When it comes to online shopping, we know convenient and low cost delivery slots are prominent factors in where people choose to shop.”

I am a fan of online grocery shopping. I love the ease of being able to do my grocery shop on a Friday night with my feet up on the sofa – then it being delivered to me on a Saturday morning. It’s so easy and it means I can keep an eye on how much I spend, plus the kids can’t fill the trolley with sweets, magazines and toys saving me another £15 at least!
