Ikea recalls safety gate due to massive safety flaw

This is really scary!

Ikea have recalled a safety gate they have been selling after they received reports of children falling down stairs after the safety gates opened unexpectedly.

Children have been falling down the stairs after a major safety flaw which also seen some of those children needing medical attention.

Ikea have now urged anyone with a Patrull safety gate to stop using it immediately and return it to ones of their stores for a full refund.

Ikea have said a third party investigation had shown that the locking mechanism was not reliable, posing a risk for small children, despite approved tests to applicable standards.

The safety gates have been on sale in all of Ikea stores worldwide, including in the UK.

Customers who have the affected safety gate have been urged to return the gate to any Ikea store in the UK even if you no longer have the receipt or proof of purchase and you will be able to claim a full refund.
