Is your child going to bed at the ‘right’ time?
A primary school in America posted a chart on their Facebook to help parents understand what time their child should be going to bed. Although they thought they were doing a good deed, it hasn’t gone down too well with parents across the globe after going viral.
The sleep table matches children’s suggested bedtimes with wake-up time and age, and recommends that 5-year-olds need 12 hours of sleep while 12-year-olds need between 9 and 10 hours.
So do you think this chart is accurate and helpful or do you think the parents should decide themselves how much sleep their child needs?

Not sure what the fuss is all about. I’ve had 5 children. The 2 youngest being 10 and 11. They are in the same room and go to bed around 8:30-8:45pm. The older needs less sleep and likes to be up about 6:30am. The younger needs more sleep and is up at 7am. The younger goes to sleep almost immediately and the older lies and muses a while before dropping off. All of my children have slept well, known what time to stay in bed until at the weekend! What is the issue?
