ITV Have Axed The Jeremy Kyle Show Forever

It has been confirmed today that The Jeremy Kyle Show has been pulled from air for good.

The news comes after it was announced on Monday, that an episode of the show was to be pulled from screens that morning after a guest died a week after filming.

Steve Drymond, 63, was discovered dead on the 9th May after taking a lie detector test when recording the show, BBC News reports.

ITV’s CEO, Carolyn McCall, said in a statement: “Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show.

“The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

“Everyone at ITV’s thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond.”

A review of the cancelled episode in question is currently underway.

The TV broadcasting service said that they will continue to work on other projects with Jeremy Kyle.
