Following in the footsteps of Greggs, Burger King, and IKEA, KFC have finally embraced the revolution and announced a new Vegan burger!

If ‘The Imposter Burger’– costing just £2.99– is successful in selected stores in London, Bristol and The Midlands between the 17th of June to 15th July KFC will then make the decision about scaling it out to stores everywhere.

The burger is said to be made of vegan Quorn before being fried in the 11 herbs and spices that make KFC taste so delicious.

The fast food chain have even developed some speciality vegan mayo, so vegans don’t miss out on any of the fast food chicken restaurant experience (apart from the chicken, that is!)

Tony Davison, Head of Global Foodservice & QSR at Quorn commented: ‘A vegan KFC? We couldn’t believe it either. ‘But we’ve done it – working with KFC we’ve created a bespoke Quorn fillet that does the Colonel’s recipe justice. We have no doubt that KFC fans are going to love the modern take on a finger lickin’ favourite.’

KFC will also be launching a vegetarian fritter later this year, so keep your eyes peeled for a more diverse menu in your KFC soon!

Will this replace popcorn chicken and the zinger burger in your heart? Let us know in the comments!
