Is your local Tesco’s opening hours set to be slashed?
96 stores have had their opening hours slashed this year
They also have plans to merge customer service counters at 46 stores and also confirmed it is selling the Giraffe restaurant chain to the owner of Harry Ramsden
This move could see 2000 jobs affected.
Now, most of the affected stores will be closing at midnight and opening again at 6am.
Tony Hoggett, Tesco UK chief operating officer, said: ‘We’re making some changes to the way a small number of our stores operate to help us run them more simply and deliver the best possible service to customers.
‘Where there have been changes to a colleague’s role we will work with them to ensure they are fully supported.’
