Millions of passwords stolen

Some Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo email accounts are affected

details of more than 272.3 million stolen accounts are now being traded online according to reports from Holden, who last year uncovered the largest data breach to date.
Mail.ru has been the biggest affected whilst a smaller number of Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo users have been hit.

This is the biggest stash of stolen credentials to be uncovered since cyber attacks hit major US banks and retailers two years ago.

It is likely that stolen data will be sold on the web to other criminals.

My advice would be to change your password IMMEDIATELY on your email account and NEVER use the same password for other accounts or this gives hackers the chance to enter other accounts you own too.

Please spread the word so your friends and family can change their passwords…
