M&S launches clothing range for children with special needs.
Due to customer request, Marks & Spencer has become the first high street store to create a range of clothing which is suitable for children with special needs.
A mother called Zoe Hardcastle wrote to the retailer suggesting that they should consider creating the range after she struggled to find clothing which catered to her three-year-old disabled son called Caleb who needs to wear a nappy and feeding tube each day.
The company agreed that this would be a great idea and have now created specialist sleepwear which is available to buy in ages 3-8.
A Marks & Spencer spokesperson said: ‘We always listen carefully to our customers and our kidswear team worked in close consultation with Ms Kutt and other families on adapting some of our kids wear products to meet their needs.’
“The range currently comprises a small number of products that will be available online in the next few weeks – as with all new ranges, we will closely monitor customer interest and listen carefully to customer feedback on how it should develop in the future.”
