Mums are slamming this ‘offensive’ pram advert?

Mums everywhere have taken to social media to express their fury at Bugaboo’s new promo shot on Instagram.

The image was shot by the Vogue Netherlands as part of Bugaboo’s campaign for their new £515 Bugaboo runner pram and is modelled by model Ymre Stiekma and her two-year-old daughter.

The caption reads: ‘See how model and mum Ymre Stiekema stays fit and healthy with the Bugaboo Runner.’ Underneath the photo there are thousands of comments from angry mothers.

One mothers comment read: ‘Seriously why in the world would she be running in this? Horrible promotion!! Not gonna lie she’s one fit mama but really?!!!’

Another one read: ‘Thanks for setting women back. Objectification of women, it’s hard enough to birth a baby, then you have to lose a hundred pounds to look anorexic again… no.’

There are many more comments of a similar nature on the photo and the general vibe is that most mothers aren’t happy with Bugaboo’s marketing technique.

Speaking in a statement to TODAY, the company said: ‘We want to inspire moms and dads everywhere to explore the world with their families, while keeping up with an active and healthy lifestyle.’

However lots of people seem to think this is an unrealistic advertisement.

What do YOU think about the Bugaboo campaign. Do you think It’s offensive or are people just being over sensitive?
