Feel like you need to stretch your legs or have kids that are climbing the walls? Well thanks to the National Trust, you can get outdoors while practicing social distancing too!

The National Trust are making all of their gardens, woodlands, and park entries FREE amid the Coronavirus outbreak to help people exercise, clear their minds, and enjoy nature.

From today (20th March 2020), you can take the kids out for a fun run or walk out without having to worry about them coming into contact with vulnerable people.

Of course all of the cafe’s, houses, and shops will still be closed, but their beautiful grounds will all be free to discover.

You can always take a picnic along with you too and make a day of it!

This fantastic news means that if you don’t have an outdoor space to enjoy some fresh air in, or if you simply need a change of scenery, you now have a whole host of places you can go!

However, the National Trust does advise, for this weekend a least, to maybe avoid their smaller gardens as with Mother’s Day being on Sunday, it may become crowded.

So thanks to the National Trust we can go out and enjoy a little freedom in the beautiful countryside this weekend! Adventure is still out there!

TOP TIP! If you’re taking kids with you, why not make a list of wildlife, flowers, and trees and play a little game of bingo?
