Residents warned not to use water from tap
This is due to concerns about chlorine
Severn Trent is warning customers in Derbyshire and Leicestershire with postcodes DE11, DE73 and LE65 areas.
Higher than normal levels of chlorine at one of the service reservoirs in the Derbyshire area is currently being investigated.
Customers affected should not use their water supply at all.
In a statement, Severn Trent said: ”We’re sorry for the inconvenience this will cause and we’re working hard to isolate the problem and get everything back to normal as quickly as possible. A Do Not Use notice means that customers shouldn’t use their water supply for anything including drinking, preparing food and bathing.”
