Safety Warning! Britax Recalls 37 Car Seat Models.

Britax have issued an urgent safety warning and have announced that they are urgently recalling 37 of their car seat models.

There has been a defect found on the models which could prevent the harnesses from locking.

Only the US models are affected by this safety issue. If you have bought your seat from a store here in the UK then there is absolutely nothing to worry about. However, I know lots of people tend to shop online on Amazon and eBay so thought this would still be worth sharing just in case you have the US model.

The company said Thursday that seat models Advocate ClickTight, Boulevard ClickTight, and Marathon ClickTight manufactured between Aug. 1, 2014, and July 29, 2015, may have a defective harness adjuster button that stays in the “release” position when the harness is tightened which means the car seat may not work properly in the event of a crash or collision.

This problem was first highlighted by a consumer reports safety notice in March.

Britax says that it had emailed all registered seat owners warning them of the potential dangers.
