Sky VIP are the words on everyone’s lips at the moment – but what actually is it?
In a nutshell, Sky VIP is the company’s new loyalty programme! Sky are offering all TV and broadband customers a free film to celebrate the launch of the new scheme.
Sky customers can sign up to the Sky VIP scheme and get a free Buy and Keep film from the Sky Store as a welcome gift. With the Buy and Keep films you don’t just get a free download, but you get a free copy of the DVD too!
The longer you’ve been with Sky, the more freebies you can get.
Can I sign up?
As long as you’re a Sky TV or broadband customer, sure! This deal isn’t available to Sky Mobile customers.
What can I get?
The tiered system means that the longer you’ve been with Sky, the more rewards you’ll be eligible for! Here are the different categories:
- Silver (0-3 years)
If you’ve been with Sky for under a year, you’re eligible for a free Buy and Keep film downloadable from Sky Store. Remember, not only do you get a free download of the film, but you get the DVD for free too! If you fancy joining Sky to make the most of this offer, click here.
- Gold (3-8 years)
You’re still eligible for the free Buy and Keep film, but you also get Sky Go Extra. This means you can download TV shows to watch on the go – your commute just got so much more entertaining! If you’ve already got Sky Go Extra and are eligible for Gold Sky VIP membership, they will simply stop charging you for the subscription. In addition to this, being a Gold member mean you get exclusive access to the Sky Atlantic VIP channel, which means you can watch some shows up to 24 hours before they’re broadcast on the usual Sky Atlantic channel. - Platinum (8-15 years)
As well as all the rewards listed above, you get free Sky Fibre broadband set-up and if you’re a Sky Mobile customer you’ll get extra data allowance too. Click here.

All customers can also enter prize draws for tickets to events like Premier League and English Football League games, cricket, rugby, National Theatre Live screenings, film premieres and even the opportunity to go to the filming of Game of Thrones!
How can I get Sky VIP?
- Download the ‘My Sky’ app
- Log in to your account and click ‘Manage Account’
- Click ‘Join In’ and agree to the T&Cs
- Then the system will check how long you’ve been with Sky and put you into one of the categories
