Snapchat rolls out big changes to compete with WhatsApp!

Snapchat has fast become one of the biggest social media platforms and has taken the world by storm. Now they are aiming to knock the likes of Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp off the top spot by giving its chat feature a huge overhaul.

WhatsApp and Facebook currently have over 1bn daily users, while Snapchat still has some catching up to do with 100 million. However, the app has now introduced similar features to its rivals.

They released this statement, ‘What we love most about the new Chat is how easily you can transition between all these ways of communicating — just like you do in person.

When that’s possible, you aren’t texting, calling, or video chatting… you’re just talking. We’ve been working on this redesign for a while — we can’t wait to hear what you think!’

The new features include voice and video calling, and if your friends aren’t logged into the app, you can still call them. Even better, if they don’t answer then you can leave them a recorded message! There’s a huge selection of stickers and gifs to choose from too you’ll all be happy to hear.
